Sania Mirza admitted to Apollo Hospital

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has been admitted in Hyderabad's Apollo Hospital due to a knee injury.

A medical bulletin issued by the hospital said that Sania underwent a surgical procedure called Arthroscopy to test her ligament function, which has been found to be adequate.

She has been recommended intense physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and her condition will be reviewed in four weeks.

However, doctors say that she will be kept under observation in the hospital for a few more days.

Sania had pulled out of the Qatar Open earlier this week owing to the knee injury.
